A friend of mine calls it a birdy day, the sort of time when avifauna of all kinds present themselves to be seen. Thursday was one of those days.

Young red-tail, circling over the south meadow.
Steller's jay.
Golden-crowned sparrow posing on matching lichen.
Bushtit on dead gumweed.
The bushtits really liked the gumweed.
